Satoshi Kon died. The man brought to life Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika, Perfect Blue, Paranoia Agent, and Millennium Actress.
:( I’m really upset now.

tokyo godfathers and paprika were so great ): oh my god

Paprika reminded me too much of Neil Gaiman’s Dream Vortex but I think it’s the best introduction to Satoshi Kon for people who have no idea why this is really sad news…
Perfect Blue was sick. Tokyo Godfathers eternal. Paranoia Agent was okay. I saw Millenium Actress during the worst of my depression and it had me crying all day — even years later whenever I remembered that line…[SPOILER] [SPOILER] [SPOILER] I loved him so much! Now I can’t even remember his face!

Well damn this awareness. This is much more upsetting for me than the hijack turned massacre bus affair.
